Ibogaine
The Ibogaine drug is extracted from the rain-forest shrub Tabernanthe iboga, which grows in West Africa. The Ibogaine story begins over a thousand years ago with the people of the Gabon (West Africa). The tribes of the Gabon have used the Iboga plant root for medicinal purposes, and in rite of passage ceremonies, for centuries.
Upon the discovery of Ibogaine amongst European countries, the drug quickly became a widely used medicine. Ibogaine was marketed in France under the trade name Lambarene until 1970 and was used as a wellness tonic. During this time Ibogaine was mostly known for its ability to inspire a sense of well being; mentally, physically, and physiologically.

Today, the ibogaine drug is extracted from the root of the iboga shrub and is being effectively used for the treatment of substance abuse. Scientists all over the world have proven Ibogaine to be an effective detoxification method, if the procedure is done correctly. Ibogaine detox interrupts drug addiction, relieves withdrawal symptoms, and significantly decreases the desire for cocaine, heroin, and, most other mind altering drugs. The Ibogaine drug is non-addictive and is therefore not subject to abuse.
